After suffering so much trying to improve the Tamiya half-tracks; in the end Dragon offer us a series of best quality vehicles and good selection of subjects: from the early M2 to one of the last versions of the M3 chassis, the M16 with quad 12,7mm machine guns. Among all the available versions, the ones I liked best were: the M3 famous French 75mm gun and the M3 105mm. So, as soon as Dragon offered these kits, I purchased one and started its construction.

I’m speaking about the reference #6467 of the M3 75mm and at the same time I bought the Griffon photo- etch detail set (#L35A037) and the Archer transfers for the instrument panel. I completed the aftermarket set with parts from RB Model for the gun barrel and machine gun.

The kit is too complex and comprises a great deal of parts since it offers a lot of details for the whole chassis. The instructions are not very clear and if you add to this the difficulties to build this kit, you’ll require a great deal of patience as with all the last Dragon kits.

The aim of this article is to lead the reader to the experience of this kit construction using the aftermarket above mentioned representing a vehicle with mud camouflage.
