The OH-6J is the Japanese version of the OH-6A Cayuse.. It was built under licence by Kawasaki Heavy Industries. During the last years, it was replaced by more modern versions as the MD500.

 


The kit

This is the Dragon kit probably packaged only by Italeri. There is no variation regarding to details, even plastic is the same color. There are no improvements and the same limited number of parts, what obliged me to work a lot to improve the model interior and exterior.


Building

Overall the model parts fit fairly well. However, you should be cautious with the lower fuselage part since both halves are not aligned, when placing the landing skid, the model will not stand firm. Even to place the front windshield, is a challenge.
