This is a 1928 Mercedes Benz SS Kabriolet. The car was over seventeen feet long and was powered by a straight six 7.2 litre supercharged engine designed by Dr Ferdinand Porsche.
The kit is from Academy Minicraft in 1/16 scale which
builds a model about 13 inches long. It is largely boxstock with the addition of three types of wood veneeer detail to the interior. The wire wheels are as supplied in the kit and are built on a jig using a continuous wire method.
