I consider of no use to make an introduction about the Pershing, one of the best known military tanks of WWII. In my opinion the Tamiya kit let us represent a superb M26 not only for the scale (1/16) but also due to the level of details. About 30 years ago Tamiya released their first RC tank, the M4 Sherman. Since then, the quality of the models in 1/16 has improved in such a way that this version has nothing to envy his brother in 1/35 scale.

When I began to build scale cars, I wanted to build a model of such a beautiful car. The only one I could buy in those days was Italeri’s kit #687 “Lamborghini Diablo VT”. The model was assembled according to instructions and painted with a brush, I didn’t have an airbrush yet, I didn’t use masking tape, styrene or filler, and other niceties we have now, nor did I use Internet as a reference material source. Three years later, when I finished the “Can Do” wrecker, I decided to restore my yellow Devil.

The subject of this article is the Bf-108 Taifun from Eduard in 1/48 scale “profipac” with PE included and as all the kits from this manufacturer is superb. As I usually do, nearly always start with a simple project but finish overcomplicating things, thus I first thought to cut the nose to leave the engine visible but changed my mind and decided to build my model out of the box. Nowadays there are still several aircraft flying, very appreciated by their pilots due to their quality. The plane I want to represent here, belonged to the Royal Yugoslav Air Force.
