The third edition of Monza Models suffered of the date postponement, due to the troubles the Autodromo is facing with the local authorities. Late June, in a tropical hot, the contest took place in the track paddock and had a total of 270 models entered, for 41 modelers and 16 clubs. Nineteen the Juniores who attended the contest, coming from our region, from Torino ad Arezzo.

The current edition featured the presence of talented modelers like Adalberto Mazzoleni, Alessandro Prini and Roberto Quaranta who shared their experience and knowledge with the other competitors for many hours. The open evaluation system with no splitting up by scale or historical period has been maintained. Confirmed the predominance of racing cars both in 1/24 and 1/43. On the top this year:

Best 1/24 – Lamborghini Miura 1/24 (Marco Smeriglio). Highly detailed kit from Fujimi	Best 1/43 – Ferrari 158 F1 1/43 (Roberto Quaranta). Extensively modified metal kit from Tameo
Best Scratchbuilt – Ferrari 312 (Adalberto Mazzoleni). Fully scratchbuilt	Best Diorama – Subaru assistance (Alessandro Prini). Modified from Tamiya kits + scratchbuilding
Best of Bikes – Honda CB750 (Alessandro Risi). Modified kit from Tamiya	Best of Trucks – Renault 55 1/24 (Gabriele Bambetti). Handpainted from Italeri kit

Thirteen awards went to the Juniors section.

All the visitors, approximately 6000, have been allowed to vote for the People Award.
