Babies come from Paris.....modelling articles come from modellers!

A couple of days ago, a message in a forum devoted to car models, gave rise to a controversy about why Amazing 43 ( www.amzing43.com ) have not published new articles since January 2006. Immediately, and showing complete ignorance on some subjects, some people who believe that having a keyboard and a connection to the Internet turn them into experts, outlined an explanation… that me (Mario Covalski) such and such, and that Modeler Site sell PDF notes, and well, so on and so forth, and finally, they seem to know almost everything about life and work of the man…. that the man in question.

I’m not going to expand on the story, the importance of the personages is not worth, nor even saying that they gaily mention my name as well as Modeler Site’s and others, to their liking and pleasure, everything is possible in a free-and easy world without responsibility, hiding behind a cloak of anonymity of a forum, giving as only excuse the right to express an opinion.

After meditating on the matter, I decided to exercise my right and give my opinion, in this case without offending anybody by mentioning his name, but reflecting on something crucial, not only for the magazines but for every human activity.

And is, that some people think that apples, as if by magic, appear in supermarkets, that electricity and other known resources come to us as if magic too, and that they have an inalienable right to demand and demand without stopping, but do they think where the resources come from?... Of course not, that doesn’t worry them.

This happens within the modeling activity, we ask from manufacturers to release new kits, but at low prices, from magazines to have more and better articles and why not, to be cheap, not mentioning what we ask from the Internet…free!!. But when screens are off, and magazines are closed, the demanding modelers take a restful break…leaving the work for others, they are just to demand the better, without worrying about the way or where that wisdom will come from.

For those who think in this way, I have bad news…notes come from modelers, as it always was and will be. From modelers that spend hundred of hours to share their experiences and knowledge with others, and though they receive a reward, it’ll never be a fair exchange considering their contribution, often top quality works..

If you think that paper magazines or e-zines don’t offer the notes you like or the amount you expect, and you have the ability to carry them out, then, let’s get down to it!, don’t wait for other people to do everything, because……. babies come from Paris, but modeling articles from modelers.
