Bell 47 G

by  Reuben Saliba

The following is a series of photos of the Bell 47G helicopter. It is still used up to this day and still doing light surveillance work for the local air force.

The origins of this helicopter dates back to the early fifties. This helicopter joined the local air force in the early seventies and has been giving faithful service to the air force since then. Originally, there were three Bell 47G's in the local air force and if I am correct only two are still flying.

All the maintence on these helicopters is done on the island. As one can see the helicopter is still in mint condition. I hope that these photos will help those modellers who wish to model this rare helicopter as very few are still in active service around the world.
