As I use to do with the MFH kits for the F1(s) of the 60’s, now the turn of legendary Honda RA300. A very good designed kit comprising many and useful PE parts. Once finished, the model looks like the real thing with a good level of faithfulness though some wiring is missing in the kit. It’s not an easy kit to build especially the rear frame/bulkhead, and the monocoque central area.

This article aims at sharing with the reader, my experience building the model that represents the car which won the 1967 Italian Grand Prix in the hands of John Surtees.

Taking advantage of the opportunity of the step by step pictures I’ve been taking, the article will be based on commenting them.

Construction

I began sanding the white metal parts of the chassis assembly.

Next step was to add all the riveting. I placed rivets only where they didn't interfere with other parts.

Once the parts were ready I made a dry fitting.
