Bugatti Type 35B

by Javier Alba

These photos were taken in Alicante, Spain in June 2001, and  belong to the "Rally de coches antiguos Protagonistas-Onda Cero" (It's a famous Spanish radio program).

The Type 35 was considered by most people, as the more beautiful car that has never been built, making his premiere in the Lyon GP in August 1924, where five cars were introduced. In the images can be seen this interesting version with headlamps (the Lyons' cars didn't have them).

An interesting detail about these cars was their chassis, made of grooved steel and wood filling in some areas, changing of section in duty of the load, absorbing the stress that the car received.
