For years the only kit available to build this Howitzer was the old inaccurate Italeri kit, also a rebox of the old Peerless Max kit without its metal parts. This Italeri/Peerless kit, apart from being extremely simplified, offers many problems such as the incorrect wheels.

Bronco offer us two versions of the same subject in two different boxes. The one used here corresponds to the version used during WWII, while the M114A1 #35102 was used in post-war.

The main difference between the two versions is the type of tires and the mechanism to lift the lower carriage. Both features are well represented in both kits.

Upon opening the box, we find a highly detailed and complex kit for being a Howitzer, what is welcome. It comprises lots of small and fragile parts which is a sign that some work will be required to complete a perfect assembly.

The kit includes a small PE fret and excellent decals for the extensive ammunition set in styrene which is correct for separate loading ammunition.
